Come on Jilly’s journey – she is in kindergarten. She daydreams in class and doesn’t pay attention during lessons. She is isolating herself from her friends and her self esteem is low. Jilly has ear-disease, Otitis Media has been affecting her learning development. Thanks to her teacher’s, practitioners and parents’ awareness and support, Jilly hears again.

Ongoing ear disease in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander infants and young children can lead to permanent hearing loss and contributes to social and economic disadvantage.
